Eb alto saxophone from Custom EX series that is an improved version of that proven classic the Yamaha Custom 875 –and it is also the result of decades of painstaking research and trials involving some of the world's greatest saxophonists. It features a smooth response and a deep, refined sound full of rich colours. It also features a solid feel with quick and nimble action, a wide dynamic range, stunning projection, and an authoritative tone with a beautifully defined total core. The size and shape of the mother-of-pearl key buttons have been changed for a better 'feel', while the new, handmade Custom V1 neck enhances tonal resonance and gives a quicker, more comfortable response. The octave key has a unique ball joint design for smooth, quick action. The Custom neck receiver provides a rich, resonant sound, while the left hand seesaw key facilitates quick and comfortable technique for the left-hand pinky. An adjustable Front F mechanism gives the player the freedom to find the optimal level of resistance in the altissimo range. The saxophone also features a two-point bell brace for enhanced projection and a free-blowing response. Other features include drawn tone holes, Yamaha 4CM mouthpiece with gold-lacquered yellow brass cap and ligature, waterproof leather and wool felt pads with plastic tone boosters, blue steel needle spring type and ribbed and flanged mounting. The saxophone comes in deluxe ultra-lightweight case which provides excellent protection. A convenient carrying strap is also included. 24-carat Gold-plated finish.
