Fender Champion II 50 — 50-Watt Digital Combo Amp with Classic Fender Tone

The Fender Champion II 50 brings Fender's classic clean and overdrive tones into a 50-watt digital combo format, with a 12-inch Fender Special Design speaker delivering the projection needed for small-venue gigs and band rehearsals. Two channels, four selectable voicings, and a built-in effects suite cover everything from jazz and country to blues and metal, all without menus or apps. Practicality for both bedroom practice and stage use comes from the intuitive front-panel layout, tap-tempo control, and 1/4-inch headphone output.

What Sets This Combo Apart

Four selectable amp voicings (Classic, Modern, British, Hi Gain) and a built-in effects suite—reverb, delay/echo, chorus, tremolo, and Vibratone—set this combo apart from entry-level competitors. Setting delay times and tremolo speeds in real time is easy thanks to the TAP button, which even includes a dotted-eighth-note delay mode. When it comes to connectivity, the rear-panel USB port enables silent recording and firmware updates, and an optional 2-button footswitch provides hands-free channel switching during performances.

Power and Speaker Configuration

Loudness and clarity in projection depend on the power stage and speaker. The Champion II 50 features a 50-watt digital output paired with a single 12-inch driver, resulting in headroom that suits small gigs and band rehearsals.

• Power Output: 50 W — headroom for small-venue gigs and band rehearsals
• Speaker: 12" Fender Special Design — balanced clean and overdrive response
• Total Impedance: 8 ohms — standard for extension cabs and recording chains
• With this configuration, guitarists can expect punch and definition even at higher volumes in rehearsal rooms.

Channels and Front-Panel Controls

Two channels and a master EQ section keep every parameter within reach, so players can move between clean and dirty tones without menu diving.

• Number of Channels: 2 — Channel 1 (clean) and Channel 2 (gain) for instant switching
• Controls: Bass, Treble, Gain, FX Level, Tap, Voice, FX Select, Volume
• Amp Voicings: Classic, Modern, British, Hi Gain — covers country, rock, blues, and metal

Fender and the Champion Series Legacy

Fender has shaped electric guitar tone since Leo Fender's earliest amplifiers in the 1940s, and the Champion series has long been the brand's entry point into that heritage. The Champion II line updates that legacy with digital modelling, expanded effects, and tap-tempo control, keeping the simple, no-menu interface that made the original Champion amps a favourite. This 50-watt model adds an extra clean channel and a larger 12-inch speaker.
