Young the Giant is a rock band from Irvine, California, formed in 2004. The group features Sameer Gadhia on vocals, Jacob Tilley and Eric Cannata on guitars, Payam Doostzadeh on bass, and Francois Comtois on drums. Originally known as the Jakes, they signed with Roadrunner Records in 2009 and released their self-titled debut album in 2010. Their early singles like My Body, Cough Syrup, and Apartment gained recognition on the US Alternative Songs chart.
