Two design choices push the MPK Mini MK3 ahead of typical mini keyboards in its tier. The pads are pulled directly from Akai's flagship MPC series and arranged across two banks for 16 assignable slots, with Note Repeat and Full Level for finger-drumming. A 4-way configurable thumbstick replaces traditional pitch and mod wheels, handling pitch bend, modulation, and three assignable modes from one control. NKS integration pre-maps the knobs and pads to over 2,500 virtual instruments and effects.
