The ''Houslové knížky pro radost'' is designed as a basic resource for teaching in the 3rd position from the very beginning of study and for transitioning to playing in all positions.

• ''Houslová knížka 3'' offers recital pieces in the 3rd position for both young beginners and more advanced violinists. These pieces are an integral part of the instruction provided in ''Houslová knížka 1 and 2.'' Fourteen miniatures for violin and piano, in styles ranging from folk, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic, progressively guide students from their initial stage experiences (Chapters 1–2) to refining stylistic playing for more experienced players (Chapters 3–4). Introductory texts at the beginning of each chapter present the relevant stylistic period in an accessible manner. The publication is accompanied by a separate booklet with piano accompaniments (H 8010b).
