Ethel Cain is the stage name of Hayden Silas Anhedönia, an American singer-songwriter, producer, and model born in 1998. Known for her evocative lyrics rooted in nostalgia and Southern Gothic themes, her music blends elements of ambient, indie rock, and contemporary folk. After releasing music under several aliases, she launched her main project in 2019 and gained critical acclaim with her debut album Preacher’s Daughter in 2022. The album built her a dedicated following. A standalone recording titled Perverts was released in early 2025, and her upcoming second album, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, is set for release in August 2025 as a prequel to her debut.
