This monitor features excellent dynamics and neutrality in its tonal balance. Thanks to new technologies and features, Alpha 65 Evo is highly versatile.
For renewed performance, Focal has chosen an aluminium inverted dome tweeter to ensure vast sound dispersion, as well as the Slatefiber cone. This recycled carbon cone, produced exclusively by the French brand at its Saint-Étienne workshops, has been chosen for ist neutrality and dynamics. Focal is constantly renewing its offering, drawing on its acoustics expertise of over 40 years and its innovation capacity. This is demonstrated by the new large laminar port, which limits distortion noise.
The Alpha Evo monitors boast a new 1/4" (6.35mm) TRS jack input—in addition to the XLR and RCA analogue inputs—, a disengageable automatic stand-by mode and inserts for wall and ceiling fastening: a truly versatile range (Mix, Mastering, DJ, Broadcast). In terms of amplification, the monitors are each equipped with two class D amplifiers. The high current capacity of these allows full control of the signal dynamics. It also allows high volumes to be reached without distortion. Each of the loudspeakers picks up the smallest details in the mix, across all musical styles. The monitors feature a 5/8" (15mm) MDF cabinet, and incorporate internal braces to ensure it is highly robust, even at the highest levels of acoustic pressure.
Absolutely satisfied with the sound image and the clarity of this speaker. The top and the low end is just that balanced sounding what I was aiming for to have and didn't expect from a relatively entry level studio monitors. The mid range is not quite the strength of the speakers but I think it is still well worth the price. The low end is just fabulous to a 6.5 inch woofer I could say one of the best I have tried for this price range. After burn in process it really does reach to its full potential. I recommend it for home studio usage preferably in a treated room environment and with a good pair of monitor headphones to balance out the mid range differences.

Druhý nejprodávanější model v našem poslechovém studiu. Oproti nejprodávanějším menším a levnějším Alpha 50 Evo má tento střední model přece jen více nižších středů a vyrovnanější bas, na druhou stranu vyšší středy jsou mírně agresivnější. Je na každém, co mu víc sedí. Skvělé jsou tu možnosti donastaveni, kde máte možnosti plynule si přidat/ubrat basy +/- 6 dB, což je unikátně velký rozsah, u výšek +/-3. Všechny možné vstupy XLR, TRS i RCA, přepínání citlivosti vstupů 0/+6 (nemají ale vlastní knoflík hlasitosti). Šikovné je volitelné uspávání, díky kterému nemusíte bedny vypínat, což jim výrazně prodlouží životnost. A ačkoliv jde o základní řadu Focal s levnými zesilovači třídy D, tak na rozdíl od jiných značek tyhle nešumí.
