Humbukeriai pasižymi sodresniu, sklandesniu skambesiu ir geriau slopina triukšmą, todėl jie tinka didesniam iškraipymui, solo partijoms ir tankiems rifams. P90 skamba atviriau, agresyviau ir dinamiškiau, tačiau gali būti triukšmingesni. Klasikiniam roko skambesiui humbukeriai yra patikimesni; vintažiniam charakteriui ir stipresnei atakai P90 gali būti įdomesni.
