Its body crafted in Europe from 7 plies (9mm) of Baltic birch plywood (Betula pendula) with almond finish combined with a front plate from non-stained Baltic birch has great low end punch when played near the centre and dishes out snare drum ''slap'' sounds when striking the top corners of the playing surface. These sounds are perfect for providing the rhythmic foundation for acoustic music. The dual internal snares are fitted to rest against the inside of the front plate for a sensitive response.
