Meinl 15" Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Hihat 15" Hi-Hat

The 15” Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Hihats feature a medium-thin top and medium bottom with additional hammering throughout. Sounding pre-EQ’d, they have a dry attack in the upper-mid frequencies giving them a clear and focused voice. Additionally, there is a hint of sizzle and crunch in the low end creating rich warmth for a naturally compressed response. Open the top cymbal for thick barks, and close them for a dry foot chick. Fully opened, they present a robust wash that has plenty of volume and push.
Pure Alloy cymbals sonically bridge the gap between the darker Byzance and brighter Classics Custom lines. Their shimmering, smooth sounds cut with agility and have a full range of tonality with medium sustain making them perfect for all dynamic levels. The crashes and rides have a perfect mix of effortless strength and a balanced wash, while the hihats carry a clean, refined definition.
Made in Germany from Pure Alloy bronze and hammered into shape. The traditional models feature pinpoint lathing creating the traditional finish.
