Rode VideoMic NTG — Broadcast-Grade Shotgun for Camera, USB and Mobile

The Rode VideoMic NTG is a flexible shotgun microphone that delivers broadcast-grade audio to cameras, smartphones, tablets and computers. It uses the same revolutionary line tube technology as the NTG5, with acoustic perforations replacing the linear slots of conventional on-camera mics. The result is a highly directional supercardioid pickup with a flat, uncoloured response.

What Sets This Microphone Apart

The auto-sensing 3.5 mm output detects TRS camera inputs and TRRS phone/tablet inputs automatically, so the included SC10 cable works with any device. A unique infinitely variable gain dial (1–15) actively amplifies the signal at multiple stages, delivering cleaner output than the camera's internal preamp.

Acoustic Performance — Directional Pickup With Full-Range Response

The supercardioid polar pattern and flat frequency response isolate dialogue from ambient noise on busy shoots.
