The idea of integration in Sire basses starts with the P7 - being the first among the lines with P+J characteristics. Having the Marcus-signature pickup set, this hybrid guitar is able to produce both distinct bass and classic jazz tones.

Did a minor setup, which is to be expected. Even a couple of hex wrenches was included for truss rod and bridge adjustment. Manual for the preamp was easily found using google, which was needed for me as it was my first active bass. Surprised by the high quality of materials and finish. Easy to tune, stays in tune. Preamp sounds great, maybe a bit hissy when cranking up treble boost at 100%, but no need for that. Only complaint is that the fret edges could be smoother and that the head is too bright in color, lol. Strong recommend on this one.
