Santaolalla & Fleming LP plokštelės ir kompaktiniai diskai
Gustavo Santaolalla is an acclaimed Argentine composer, producer, and musician, celebrated for his minimalist style and significant impact on Latin rock. Beginning his career in the late 1960s as a founding member of the influential band Arco Iris, he later became a key figure in the rock en español movement, producing records for numerous artists and forming the neotango group Bajofondo.
Santaolalla's evocative solo work, particularly his album Ronroco, opened doors into film music, with standout scores for movies like Amores perros, Brokeback Mountain, and Babel—earning him two consecutive Academy Awards. He gained further prominence for his work on the video game series The Last of Us, as well as scores for The Book of Life, Wild Tales, and the adaptation of The Last of Us for television.
Known for his intuitive, self-taught approach and preference for instruments like the ronroco, Santaolalla’s music is recognized for its emotional depth and restraint. His numerous honors include two Grammys, seventeen Latin Grammys, and recognition as a BMI Icon. Outside of music, he is dedicated to family and involved in winemaking.
