Chordophones is a unique collection of 10 experimental stringed instruments created by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin. This library features all previously released Hopkin string instruments, along with a brand-new exclusive addition: the Stroked Zither. Crafted from wood, steel, bass strings, styrofoam, water, and rubber, each instrument offers its own distinct organic tonal quality, multiple microphone positions, and a wide range of ambient soundscapes derived from the original source recordings.

Instruments such as Alt Alt, Aquaalt, Handsome Dan, Icicles & Pop Ice, Squiggly-Amejewar, Stroked Zither, Weighted Strings, and 2+2+1 each bring a custom sonic character ideal for layering or enhancing melodies. Chordophones is equipped with a modular 4-layer interface and includes over 150 custom FX presets, providing a powerful toolkit for musical creativity and inspiration.
