Natalie Laura Mering, known professionally as Weyes Blood, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Emerging from the underground noise scene, she played with experimental bands such as Jackie-O Motherfucker and Satanized before focusing on her solo work. After early self-released albums under the name Weyes Bluhd, she released The Outside Room in 2011. Signing to Mexican Summer, she gained recognition with The Innocents and Front Row Seat to Earth. Weyes Blood achieved widespread acclaim with Titanic Rising in 2019 and continued her critical success with And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow in 2022. Her music blends lush pop and folk influences, marked by introspective songwriting and cinematic arrangements.
