The Boss OC-5 Octave pedal combines the classic mono sound of the OC-2 from 1982 with updated polyphonic tracking and a new +1 octave effect, providing guitarists and bassists three octaves of creative options in a single compact unit.

Powered by the latest BOSS real-time processing, this pedal brings unmatched octave sound and versatility to any rig. The newly developed tracking engine is engineered for clean, accurate response without latency, so you can dial in deep sub-bass or intricate chord voicings at will. Included are a 9V alkaline battery and a manual so you can start performing immediately after unboxing.
What Stands Out on the OC-5
With two distinct operating modes — Vintage and Poly — you have access to both the iconic OC-2 mono character and modern polyphonic chord tracking in one device. In Poly mode, the Range knob allows you to target only the lowest note in a chord with the octave effect, transforming your guitar into a bass-melody hybrid. Adding an octave-up via the +1 OCT knob opens up rich 12-string textures. The Guitar/Bass switch tunes the tracking to your chosen instrument.
