Built for free-flowing expression on stage and in the studio, the Boss RC-505 MKII is the next-generation tabletop Loop Station that redefined live looping when the original launched. Five simultaneous stereo phrase tracks run through 32-bit AD/DA converters and 32-bit floating-point processing, capturing vocals, instruments, and beatbox performances with full headroom. Two XLR mic inputs with phantom power sit alongside two stereo line input pairs, while three stereo output pairs route custom mixes to front-of-house and monitors. Inside the unit, 49 Input FX types and 53 Track FX types — including new Harmony and Electric FX algorithms — run four simultaneous effects in each section across four quick-access banks. A new Mark Back function adds bookmark-style undo/redo, letting performers jump back to a saved loop state mid-performance without breaking flow.
