Boss SYB-5

A bass synthesizer packed into a compact pedal. Utilizing the latest in DSP technology, the SYB-5 faithfully reproduces the classic sound characteristics of analog synthesizers with enhanced punch and power. Featuring 11 synth sounds, it can be varied between Saw, Square and Pulse waves. Extended Wave Mode provides sharper sound. The effect is equipped with one 1/4'' instrument input, expression pedal input, two ¼'' (mono, stereo) outputs and it is powered by a 9V battery or adapter (not included).

Ez a pedál szinte mindenből egy jó hangzást, effektet képes csinálni (szintetizátor, dobgép, mikrofon, önmagában használva, stb:.), kivéve arra a hangszerre, amire eredetileg szánták - basszusgitárra. Röviden fogalmazva, eléggé öntörvényűen követi a pengetés dinamikáját, a felfutása is eléggé maszatos, furán pontatlannak hangzik tőle az egész játék - még ha alapból nem is az. Elektromos gitárral nem próbáltam, de valószínűsíthetően hasonló lehet azzal is. Szóval, jó kis cucc, de ez mintha minden mással jobb lenne, mint azzal, amivel a használatát tervezték.
