Charles Lloyd, born in 1938, is an acclaimed American jazz musician and composer known for his expressive work on tenor saxophone and flute. He also plays other reed instruments, such as alto saxophone and the Hungarian tárogató. Since 2007, he has led a notable quartet featuring Jason Moran on piano, Reuben Rogers on bass, and Eric Harland on drums.
