Collective Soul is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Stockbridge, Georgia and now based in Atlanta. Fronted by brothers Ed and Dean Roland, the current lineup also includes Will Turpin, Johnny Rabb, and Jesse Triplett. The band broke through in 1993 with the single "Shine," which led to national success after its re-release on Atlantic Records. Their 1995 self-titled album became their best-selling release, featuring major hits like "December" and "The World I Know." Known for catchy, melodic rock, Collective Soul continued to chart with songs such as "Heavy," and have released numerous albums over their career, including their 2024 double album Here to Eternity. Despite lineup changes, the group remains active and is recognized for its lasting impact on alternative and mainstream rock.
