Crosley C72 Walnut — A Complete Vinyl System in a Box

Crosley C72 Walnut is a turntable-and-speaker package that brings the warm look and feel of a 1970s hi-fi rig into a single, ready-to-play setup. This complete system pairs a belt-drive turntable with matching passive bookshelf speakers, finished in walnut wood grain with brushed gold accents. Drop the needle on a record and the Audio-Technica cartridge, carbon fiber tonearm, and heavy cast iron platter deliver clean, steady playback. When the record collection runs out, Bluetooth input lets the same speaker pair stream any phone or tablet playlist.

What Sets the C72 Apart

Most entry-level turntables ship as a single plastic box; this model ships as a true component system with separate two-way speakers. A cast iron platter — uncommon at this price — adds mass that absorbs motor vibration and keeps speed stable. The carbon fiber tonearm with adjustable counterweight and anti-skate gives real setup flexibility, while the built-in switchable phono preamp and RCA outputs let the deck grow into a larger system later.

Drive, Cartridge, and Playback Specs

The drive, cartridge, and tonearm choices determine how a turntable actually sounds. Belt-drive isolation keeps motor noise out of the signal path, while the Audio-Technica ATN3600L moving-magnet cartridge is a respected, easily upgradeable standard mount.

• Drive Type: Belt Drive — motor vibration stays out of the playback signal
• Speeds: 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM — covers full-length LPs and 7-inch singles with the included adapter
• Cartridge: Audio-Technica ATN3600L — standard 1/2" mount, easy to upgrade later
• The tonearm is carbon fiber with an adjustable counterweight and anti-skate, which lets the user dial in correct tracking force.
• Bluetooth input — streams any phone or tablet through the matching 120-watt speakers, no extra cable needed

Who Should Choose this instrument

The C72 is the right choice for first-time vinyl buyers and returning listeners who want a complete, ready-to-play system without piecing together a turntable, phono preamp, and speakers separately. It suits smaller living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices where a single-box solution saves space and cabling. The Bluetooth input also makes it a sensible pick for households that want one speaker pair to handle both records and streaming audio. Buyers planning a larger separates system later will appreciate the built-in switchable phono preamp and RCA line outputs, which feed any external amplifier or powered speakers.
