Damien Jurado is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington, born in 1972. Known for his introspective lyrics and atmospheric sound, he has released music on labels such as Sub Pop, Secretly Canadian, and Loose, and now puts out records on his own label, Maraqopa Records.
