6-string electric bass guitar from BTB series that offers a slightly shorter scale, select-grade materials, neck-through construction and top quality components, all meticulously incorporated into one instrument. It features a 5-piece maple/walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rods combined with ash/mahogany body wings and beautiful poplar burl top. The jatoba fingerboard produces a rich mid-range with a crisp high end and features abalone dot inlay and medium stainless steel frets which last longer and produce bright tone. A “zero” fret provides accurate intonation, while allowing open strings to ring with the same resonance as notes played up the neck. Scale length is 838 mm, fingerboard radius is 950 mm and nut width is 54mm. The bass guitar is equipped with two passive Bartolini BH2 pickups with dual-coil style configuration for maximized articulation and a long blade pole piece which widens the magnetic field and provides balanced string-to-string pickup response. They provide a tight bottom-end, punchy mid-range and smooth response, and can be controlled by the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with 3-way mid-frequency switch for various tonal variations. The 6-piece Mono-rail MR5S bridge features adjustable saddles (+/- 1.5mm) for the best string spacing and provides total string isolation.
