Claude Honoré M'Barali, known as MC Solaar, is a French rapper of Senegalese and Chadian descent. Widely regarded as one of France’s most influential hip hop artists, he is celebrated for his sophisticated lyrics, inventive wordplay, and unique flow. MC Solaar has achieved international recognition, collaborating with artists such as Urban Species and Guru. Over his career, he has released twelve studio albums and one live album. His album Géopoétique earned the award for best album of the year at the Victoires de la Musique in 2018.
