Meek Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams in 1987 in Philadelphia, is an influential American rapper known for his energetic style and storytelling. He began as a battle rapper and was part of the group Bloodhoundz before signing with T.I.'s Grand Hustle in 2008. After leaving that label, he joined Maybach Music Group in 2011, gaining recognition with hits like Tupac Back and Ima Boss. Meek Mill released his debut album Dreams and Nightmares in 2012, which featured the popular single Amen with Drake. His later albums, including Dreams Worth More Than Money, Wins and Losses, Championships, and Expensive Pain, have all charted highly, with Going Bad featuring Drake becoming his highest-charting song. He has also collaborated with Rick Ross on the album Too Good to Be True. In addition to his music career, Meek Mill founded Dream Chasers Records in 2012, supporting up-and-coming artists. He has been an outspoken advocate for criminal justice reform following his own legal battles, highlighted in the documentary series Free Meek and through his work with the Reform Alliance, which he co-founded with Jay-Z.
