Mudvayne is an American heavy metal band from Peoria, Illinois, formed in 1996. Recognized for their intense sound and distinctive visual style, including face paint and masks, they rose to fame in the late 1990s underground scene. Their breakthrough came with the single Dig from their debut album L.D. 50 in 2000. After releasing several successful albums and selling over five million records worldwide, Mudvayne took a hiatus in 2010. The band reunited in 2021 and continues to perform live. Members include Chad Gray, Greg Tribbett, Ryan Martinie, Matthew McDonough, and Marcus Rafferty.
