Origin is a technical death metal band from Topeka, Kansas, originally formed in 1990 under the names Necrotomy and Thee Abomination. Known for their intense sound and impressive musicianship, Origin’s music stands out for its complex playing techniques, including rapid blast beats, deep growled vocals, and highly technical guitar work. Their arrangements frequently feature changing time signatures, adding to their dynamic style. The band gained wider attention in 2008 with the release of their album Antithesis, which reached number twenty-one on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
