Salem is an electronic music group from Traverse City, Michigan, recognized as a pioneer of the witch house genre. Formed by Heather Marlatt, Jack Donoghue, and John Holland, the band released its acclaimed debut album King Night in 2010. After a long hiatus, Salem returned in 2020 with the mixtape Stay Down and the album Fires in Heaven, both created without Marlatt, whose departure from the group remains contested.
