Shabaka Hutchings, known professionally as Shabaka, is a prominent British jazz musician, composer, and bandleader. He currently leads Shabaka and the Ancestors and formerly led the acclaimed group Sons of Kemet. Shabaka was also a key member of The Comet Is Coming, appearing as King Shabaka. Renowned for his saxophone and wind instrument performances, he has collaborated with acts such as Sun Ra Arkestra, Andre 3000, Floating Points, Mulatu Astatke, Polar Bear, Melt Yourself Down, Heliocentrics, London Brew, and Zed-U, making him a central figure in contemporary jazz.
