The aXRotate plugin is an Ambisonic scene rotator plugin with head-tracking support via OSC. Ambisonics allows for very efficient rotation of sound fields containing a large number of sound sources because they can all be rotated at once. The aXRotate is capable of rotating any ambisonic scene up to tenth-order.

The aXRotate plug allows you to rotate the Ambisonics signal around three different axes in the order yaw, pitch and roll. The aXRotate plugin also allows you to add small oscillations to the sound scene to simulate the micro head movements listeners make all the time. This can increase the sense of spaciousness in static binaural renderings.

Spatial Control

Control the yaw, pitch and roll applied to the sound field with the option to individually invert the rotation directions. Perfect for aligning recorded audio with 3D videos.

Add Micro Head Movements

Add small random oscillations to the scene when you are not using a head tracker. This can help with externalisation when rendering static binaural playback.

Control the yaw, pitch and roll by connecting to a head-tracker that sends OSC messages. Allows you to interact with your immersive audio in real-time.
