The Walrus Audio Xero Polylooper is a powerful dual-channel looper pedal designed to give musicians maximum creative flexibility. Whether you're layering textures in a live performance, practicing intricate riffs, or composing complex arrangements, the Xero offers a versatile and intuitive platform for looping.

Each of the two loop channels allows up to three minutes of recording time with unlimited overdubs. You can control volume and pan independently for each channel, and choose from three playback speeds—half-speed, normal, or double-speed. Both channels also support reverse playback, adding a unique dimension to your sound.

The Xero features three distinct looping modes. In Sync Mode, all loops align to the first recorded loop, making it easy to build structured compositions. Unsynced Mode lets you record loops of varying lengths, ideal for more experimental layering. Poly Mode takes things further by enabling polyrhythmic looping—such as 3:4 or 5:7 ratios—allowing for intricate rhythmic interplay. For performers who rely on precise timing, MIDI clock support ensures tight synchronization with external gear.

Control is streamlined through intuitive footswitch gestures. A single tap starts recording or playback, while holding the switch can undo the last overdub or activate speed effects. Double-tapping or double-holding lets you switch channels or stop and erase loops. For expanded control, the Xero is compatible with an external dual-stomp switch.

Visual feedback is provided by multicolor LEDs that indicate loop status, playback speed effects, and channel control. The pedal includes sliders for volume, rotary knobs for pan, and dedicated buttons for speed, direction, and mode selection. Connectivity options include stereo input and output via dual mono ¼” jacks, MIDI IN/THRU via ⅛” TRS, and a USB-C port for firmware updates. The pedal also features true relay bypass circuitry for clean signal integrity.
